École des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC) in Paris and EELISA have formalized a partnership to advance the study of European Engineering. This collaboration, in conjunction with ITU, to investigate the contributions of French engineers to Ottoman railways. This initiative highlights the interdisciplinary connections between engineering, history, and geopolitics, reinforcing EELISA's dedication to reveal "European Engineering".

The École des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC) in Paris and Istanbul Technical University (ITU) have taken an important step of cooperation under the EELISA (European Engineering, Learning, Innovation and Science Alliance) agreement. ENPC and ITU, which stand out with their competence in technical fields, are seen as natural partners in European engineering.

In accordance with the collaboration, a study will be made for the railroads in the Ottoman Empire and the contributions of French engineers. This research provides an important opportunity to highlight "European Engineering", one of the most important aims of EELISA, and to make visible the links between engineering, history and geopolitics. At the same time, this partnership will give a chance to showcase the interdisciplinary work that EELISA constantly emphasizes.

The collaborative work will strengthen both academic and cultural ties. Through these projects, students and academics will share knowledge and experience from different perspectives. In particular, historical and technical research will deepen the cooperation between the two universities and pave the way for new projects.

This partnership will support EELISA's mission and will reveal the historical origins of European engineering and its importance today. The work to be carried out in this context will also help to promote the interdisciplinary nature of engineering for education and practice.
