Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Kalaycıoğlu conducts research on the analysis of food and plant samples using capillary electrophoresis-based analytical methods. She focuses on detecting adulteration and determining the origin of food products by evaluating analytical results through chemometric approaches. Her research also includes the design and characterization of biopolymer-based composite films for use as food packaging and wound dressing materials. In line with green chemistry principles, she works on the synthesis of nano-metal oxides and investigates their photocatalytic efficiency in the degradation of textile dyes. In recent years, she has been developing novel analytical methods to elucidate various protein-drug binding mechanisms and has been exploring ligand conformations and interactions on macromolecular binding sites through molecular docking approaches. Her research articles, reviews, and book chapters published in SCI journals have received a significant number of citations.
