Prof. Yagci research group successfully developed a photoinduced metal free synthesis method to synthesize conducting polymers that consist of only one component; phenacyl bromide. Prof. Steffen Jockusch from Center for Photochemical Sciences, Bowling Green State University, investigated the characteristics of the generated radicals, Dr. Azra Kocaarslan and Dr. Kerem Kaya investigated the kinetics of the developed method. Results were published in “Angewandte Chemie International Edition”. “Angewandte Chemie International Edition” is one of the most respected journals in the field of chemistry that publishes only the most recent groundbreaking developments.
