The 17th International İTÜ MBG Student Congress, held on November 1-3, 2024, brought together scientists and students from around the globe, emphasizing its significance as a truly international event. This prestigious congress served as a vital platform for knowledge exchange, featuring 17 distinguished scientists who presented groundbreaking research in six sessions covering biotechnology, cancer, virology, evolution, molecular genetics, and neuroscience. The global participation highlighted the importance of cross-border collaboration in advancing science and tackling universal challenges.

With nearly 500 attendees, the congress fostered a dynamic and inclusive environment where participants could engage with diverse perspectives and cutting-edge research from different parts of the world. The international nature of the event not only enriched the discussions but also promoted cultural and academic exchange, inspiring young scientists to think beyond local boundaries.

A highlight of the congress was the student poster session on the third day, where participants showcased their research to an audience of global experts. Organized by the İTÜ MBG Club students under the guidance of Assist. Prof. Dr. Pelin Dilsiz Erim, the event's international reach was further strengthened through sponsorship agreements with prominent companies.

As a hub for global scientific dialogue, the congress plays a critical role in uniting researchers, fostering international cooperation, and inspiring innovative solutions. Participants eagerly look forward to next year’s 18th International İTÜ MBG Student Congress, which promises to build on this legacy of excellence.
