The BAGEP Award Program, run by the Science Academy, has been carried out since 2013 in order to select and reward the best young academics in their fields and to support them for new researches.

In BAGEP 2021, where 42 young scientists determined by the Science Academy were awarded for their work throughout the year, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Özkan was endowed for the BAGEP 2021 award.

20.000 TL Support per Year

Our award-winning young academic will receive 20,000 TL per year for two years to support their research.. We congratulate our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr Mehmet Özkan and wish him continued success.

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozkan

He received his PhD from Texas A&M University in 2013 and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Groningen during 2013-2016. In 2017, supportedbythe Marie Curie Co-fund grant, Phd. Özkan started his career onIstanbul Technical University at the Department of Physics Engineering department. Özkan, who carries out research on theoretical high energy physics, is interested in supersymmetrical gravity theories, string theory and holographic duality.
