Fizik, Kimya ve Matematik havuz derslerinde her öğrenci
Pearson Eğitim Paketi kullanacaktır. Bu paket;
• derslere kayıt olan tüm öğrencilere
ücretsiz olarak verilecektir.
• tüm havuz derslerine ait ders materyallerini içermektedir.
• haftalara göre hazırlanmış konu bazlı çalışma sorularını içermektedir.
• Pearson+ uygulaması üzerinden çevrimdışı erişilebilen, yapay zekâ destekli, sesli ve çok dilli ders e-metinleri ile aktif öğrenmeyi destekler; geri bildirimlere göre ders bazında çalışma planları oluşturur.
HAVUZ DERSLERİNİN YÜRÜTÜLMESİNDE ÖNEMLİ NOTLAR
• Havuz derslerinde (ve uygulamalarında)
en az %70 devam zorunluluğu bulunmaktadır. Her ders imzalı yoklama/elektronik yoklama alınacaktır. Yoklamalar dersin sorumlu öğretim üyesi tarafından ders saat diliminde alınacaktır. Yoklama sonrasında listeler kontrol edildiğinde başkasının yerine imza atan öğrenci tespit edilirse
2547 sayılı Yükseköğretim Kanunu'nun 54. maddesine göre işlem yapılacaktır.
• Sağlık sorunları nedeniyle yapılan devamsızlıklar %30’luk devamsızlık hakkı içinde değerlendirildiğinden, sağlık raporları yoklama telafisinde geçerli değildir. Öğrenciler, en az 3 günlük sağlık raporu sunmaları ve kendi Fakülte Yönetim Kurulunun onaylaması hâlinde, yalnızca ara sınav ve dönem sonu sınavları için mazeret sınavına girebilir;
kısa sınavlar için sağlık raporları mazeret olarak kabul edilmez.
• Havuz derslerinde dönem sonu notu;
%20 kısa sınav (7 adet), %40 ara sınav ve %40 dönem sonu sınavı notlarının ağırlıklı ortalamasıyla hesaplanacaktır. Dönem sonu sınavına girebilme koşulu (VF koşulu), derse en az %70 devam ve ara sınava girmiş olmaktır. VF alan öğrenciler dönem sonu sınavına giremez. Harf notları İTÜ Senato Esaslarına göre belirlenir ve değerlendirme CRN bazlı değil dersi alan tüm öğrenciler üzerinden yapılır.
• Ara sınav ve dönem sonu sınavlarında “

Ders izlencesinde önceden ilan edilen tarihlerde, dersin sonunda Pearson MyLab/Mastering platformları üzerinden
7 adet kısa sınav yapılacaktır. Kısa sınavlar, ilgili ders gününde işlenen konuları kapsayacaktır. Kısa sınavlara giremeyen öğrenciler için
mazeret sınavı yapılmayacaktır. Yoklama listesinde adı ve imzası bulunmayan öğrencilerin kısa sınav notları geçersiz sayılacaktır.
• Öğrenciler kısa sınavlara cep telefonu, tablet veya bilgisayarları ile katılabilirler. Ancak güvenlik nedeniyle, daha önce başka bir kullanıcı hesabı ile sisteme giriş yapılmış bir cihazdan farklı bir hesapla giriş yapılması durumunda Pearson hesapları bloke edilebilmektedir. Bu tür sorunların yaşanmaması için öğrencilerin sisteme
yalnızca kendi cihazları üzerinden giriş yapmaları gerekmektedir.
• Öğrenciler, derste öğretim üyeleri tarafından yapılan duyuruları, NİNOVA/MOODLE platformları üzerinden yayımlanan duyuruları, bölümlerin havuz dersi sayfalarını ve İTÜ uzantılı e-posta hesaplarını düzenli olarak takip etmekten sorumludur. Duyuruların görülmemesi, sistem bildirimlerinin alınmaması veya benzeri gerekçeler mazeret olarak kabul edilmez.
• Fizik (FIZ 101/E ve FIZ 102/E) ve Kimya (KIM 101/E) derslerinde dönemin ikinci haftasında; Matematik (MAT 103/E ve MAT 104/E) derslerinde ise dönemin birinci ve ikinci haftalarında, derslere kayıtlı tüm öğrenciler için
deneme kısa sınavları yapılacaktır. Bu sınavların amacı, öğrencilerin Pearson platformuna kayıtlarının sorunsuz şekilde gerçekleştirilmesini sağlamak ve olası teknik sorunları gerçek sınavlar başlamadan önce tespit edip çözmektir. Deneme kısa sınavları ilgili hafta boyunca erişime açık olacaktır. Havuz derslerinde kayıtlı tüm öğrencilerin bu sınavları tamamlaması beklenmektedir.
• Pearson MyLab/Mastering platformlarına kayıt rehberi, Pearson teknik destek ve iletişim bilgileri, kısa sınav rehberi, sık karşılaşılan sorunlar listesi ve her ders için platformlara ait kısa tanıtım videolarına
moodle.itu.edu.tr adresi üzerinden erişilebilir. Öğrenciler, İTÜ kullanıcı adı ve şifreleriyle moodle.itu.edu.tr adresine giriş yaptıktan sonra, ana sayfalarında yer alan derslerinin CRN’leri altında ilgili dokümanlara erişebilirler. Ayrıca bu dokümanlara Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi web sayfası ile ilgili bölümlerin havuz sayfaları üzerinden de erişim sağlanabilir.
• Pearson platformuna kayıtlarını herhangi bir nedenle gerçekleştiremeyen öğrenciler, dönemin ilk haftasında hafta içi
09.00–17.00 saatleri arasında hizmet veren
Pearson WhatsApp destek hattı (0532 139 82 81) üzerinden destek alabilirler. Bunun dışında,
yardim.pearson.com.tr adresi üzerinden; ad-soyad, öğrenci numarası, kayıtlı olunan dersin CRN bilgileri ve alınan hata kodları belirtilerek destek talebi oluşturulabilir.
Dear Students,
In the
2025–2026 Spring Semester, all students enrolled in the
Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics common courses conducted by the Faculty of Science and Letters will use the Pearson Education Package. This package:
• will be provided
free of charge to all students registered for the courses.
• includes course materials for all common courses.
• includes topic-based practice questions prepared on a weekly basis.
• supports active learning through AI-powered, audio-enabled, and multilingual course e-texts that can be accessed offline via the Pearson+ application, and generates course-based study plans according to student feedback.
IMPORTANT NOTES ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COMMON COURSES
• An
at least 70% attendance requirement applies to common courses (and their applications). Signed attendance sheets or electronic attendance will be taken in each course. Attendance will be recorded by the instructor responsible for the course during the scheduled class hours. If, upon review of attendance lists, a student is found to have signed on behalf of another student, action will be taken in accordance with
Article 54 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547.
• Since absences due to health reasons are counted within the 30% allowable absence limit, medical reports are not valid for attendance compensation. Students may take make-up exams only for the midterm and final exams, provided that they submit a medical report of at least 3 days and obtain approval from their respective Faculty Administrative Board;
medical reports are not accepted as an excuse for quizzes.
• The final course grade in common courses will be calculated as the weighted average of
20% quizzes (7 in total), 40% midterm exam, and 40% final exam. Eligibility to take the final exam (VF condition) requires at least 70% attendance and participation in the midterm exam. Students who receive a VF grade are not allowed to take the final exam. Letter grades are determined in accordance with ITU Senate Regulations, and the evaluation is conducted across all students enrolled in the course, not on a CRN basis.
• The “
ITU Faculty of Science and Letters Common Exam Regulations” will be applied for midterm and final exams. The relevant regulations can be accessed via the Faculty of Science and Letters website:

Seven quizzes will be administered via the Pearson MyLab/Mastering platforms at the end of class
on the dates announced in advance in the course syllabus. The quizzes will cover the topics taught on that day.
No make-up quizzes will be administered for students who miss a quiz.
Quiz grades of students whose names and signatures are not included in the attendance list will be considered invalid.
• Students may take quizzes using their mobile phones, tablets, or computers. However, for security reasons, if an attempt is made to log in with a different account on a device that was previously used to log in with another user’s account, Pearson accounts may be blocked. To avoid such issues, students are required to log in to the system
only using their own devices.
• Students are responsible for regularly following announcements made by instructors during class, announcements published via NİNOVA/MOODLE platforms, departmental common course pages, and their ITU email accounts. Failure to see announcements, not receiving system notifications, or similar reasons will not be accepted as valid excuses.
•
Trial quizzes will be administered for all students registered in the courses during the second week of the semester for Physics (FIZ 101/E and FIZ 102/E) and Chemistry (KIM 101/E), and during the first and second weeks of the semester for Mathematics (MAT 103/E and MAT 104/E). The purpose of these quizzes is to ensure that students’ registrations on the Pearson platform are completed smoothly and to identify and resolve potential technical issues before the actual exams begin. Trial quizzes will be accessible throughout the relevant week. All students enrolled in common courses are expected to complete these quizzes.
• Registration guides for Pearson MyLab/Mastering platforms, Pearson technical support and contact information, quiz guides, lists of frequently encountered issues, and short introductory videos for each course platform are available via moodle.itu.edu.tr. Students can access these documents by logging in to
moodle.itu.edu.tr with their ITU username and password and navigating to the relevant documents under the CRNs of their courses on the main page. These documents can also be accessed via the Faculty of Science and Letters website and the common course pages of the relevant departments.
• Students who are unable to complete their registration on the Pearson platform for any reason may receive support during the first week of the semester, on weekdays between
09:00 and 17:00, via the
Pearson WhatsApp support line (0532 139 82 81). Alternatively, a support request may be created via
yardim.pearson.com.tr by providing the
student’s full name, student ID number, CRN information of the registered course(s), and the received error codes.
